Only you know what it is. That audacious desire. That dream that has been calling you for YEARS but instead of doing what you actually want to go after, you overthink every step and wait for the right time. You second-guess yourself. You start and then stop (on repeat).
Somewhere along the way, life got serious. You started putting pressure on yourself to get it right, be responsible, and figure it all out and without realizing it, you stopped having fun. I know this because I’ve lived on both sides. In 2016, I gave myself permission to try things I had never done before. I called it my Yes Year. I traveled solo. Took aerial silk classes. Went salsa dancing with strangers. Quit my assistant job and went after a producer role in television. Started asking guys out instead of waiting. Launched a YouTube series that went viral and made my first money online.
I was bold.
I took risks.
And I had fun doing it.
For two years, I lived a life that was courageous, audacious and fun.
Then in 2019, I started getting in my head about where “I should be” in my career, dating and overall life.
I got caught in doing more, thinking more, trying to get everything right. That trickled into my personal life and I stopped being myself. I was dysregulated all the time, crossed my own boundaries, and grew angry at myself for playing small.
I stopped being the woman who was playful, spontaneous, and self trusting.
Everything started to feel harder.
I overthought every move. I held myself back.
I stopped fully being myself.
In 2020/21, I made a decision. I decided to go back to being the woman who says YES to herself, trusts herself and follows through.
I started asking myself one question: Why NOT me?
If I was capable, why wasn’t I going after goals that scared me anymore?
So I said YES to my vision and my desires.
Within a year:
I got certified in NLP, hypnosis, and timeline work
I met my husband
I paid off $25K in debt
I went from feeling depressed to feeling at peace in my life
I got my own apartment after years of living with roomies
And it wasn’t because I worked harder. It was because I changed how I showed up.
I stopped doubting my capabilities. I stopped second-guessing. I gave myself permission to say YES to my audacious desires, claim them boldly and follow through on what would get me closer to having everything I always dreamed of.
The Yes Method
Every big shift in my life started with a decision to say YES to myself.
I decided I was a YouTuber → made my first $1K
I decided I was a speaker → booked an international gig within a month
I decided I was done with old dating patterns → met my husband within a week
I decided to become a confidence coach → made my $7K investment back in one month by booking my first paid in-full 1:1 coaching client
I decided I was ready for a family → I got pregnant on the first try after doing hypnosis work to get rid of my deep rooted fear of pregnancy
I decided I would relaunch my YouTube after a 5 year hiatus → I filmed, uploaded and posted 21 videos in a row with a baby on my hip.
I decided to fully own being a stay-at-home mom for a year → Within 1 month of returning back, I launched a 21-day challenge and 13 women signed up to be a part of my Yes Year community
And behind all of that…
I let go of guilt.
I moved through fear.
I had hard conversations that led to deeper relationships.
I trusted myself, even when I didn’t have all the answers
I said YES to delusional goals that felt out of my reach.
